Preconference Workshops

October 8-10th 2024

During the global surgery congress in Essen a pre-conference practical course will be organized. From Tuesday 8th till Thursday the 10th of October several global surgical subjects will be discussed in small practical workshops with specialists who worked or currently are working in low and middle income countries. This course is organized for specialist or (young) doctors with interest in global surgery from inside and outside Europe and offers a wide spectrum of global surgical subjects.

This “hands-on” course will be an exclusive opportunity to gain extra knowledge in global surgical subjects and learn from international teachers and participants about their experience in working in LMIC circumstances. It will give theoretical and practical updates which can be used in more primitive healthcare circumstances. Besides all knowledge, it will give the participant network opportunities with national and international colleagues.

Program

This course will offer a wide variety of either surgical and non-surgical subjects and give the participant a nice background of

Day 1 will be full day courses, gynecology, traumatology (basic fracture course) or Ear Nose and
