Michael Henry Cotton is a native of Switzerland and has been trained as a chemist and then a medical doctor in England and as a surgeon in England South Africa and Zimbabwe where he has worked as a consultant in Bulawayo. Later he moved his practice to Lausanne and then Montreux in Switzerland.
Michael is most well known as the editor of the 2nd edition of ‘Primary Surgery’ and as chief editor of ‘Tropical Doctor’.
Beyond that he has published a wealth of articles, editorials and letters and served as a lecturer worldwide.
Possibly the most lasting impact Michael has had as one of the co-founders of COSECSA.
