Juan Carlos Puyana, MD
Professor Juan Carlos Puyana has been appointed O’Brien Chair of Global Surgery at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Ireland. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery, Critical Care Medicine and Clinical Translational Science and Director of Global Health-Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. He is an expert in developing international capacity-building prgrammes in trauma, trauma registries and trauma datasets in Global Surgery and has been principal investigator on six Global Health research and training grant programmes.
