Eva Stortelder (MD) is a pediatric and oncologic surgeon and used to work as international health and tropical medicine doctor in Malawi. She kept involved in global teaching and surgical training and designed global surgical courses in both high and low income settings. The co-creation and setup of an oncology summer course for surgical residents in the local context of Malawi, as part of their surgical specialization, has been a very rewarding project. In her surgical work, teaching and research ,she stands for inclusion, interdisciplinarity and building equal and sustainable global partnerships.
