Emanuela Parotto is a medical doctor specialized in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care and in Internal Medicine. She is currently employed as anaesthesiologist at Padua’s University Hospital in Italy. Alongside her clinical activities, she developed an interest in Global Health, obtaining a Global Health master’s degree at the MACH Center (Multidisciplinary Research in Health Sciences) of the University of Milan. She collaborates as clinical consultant with CUAMM – Doctors with Africa, a non-governmental organization working for the promotion and protection of health in Africa.
She is enrolled in a PhD programme at the RCSI – Institute of Global Surgery in Dublin, Ireland. As a PhD student, she is strongly motivated to enhance her knowledge and capabilities in Global Surgery and Global Anaesthesia.
