Cynthia de Carvalho Fischer (MD) is a resident in the General Surgery Department of the Charité Medical University in Berlin, Germany. Global Surgery had allowed her to marry her passion for surgery with a lifelong interest in population health and social justice. Having come from an international background and having having experience in high- and low resource environments, she hopes to continue building her career across borders, languages and areas of expertise. She’s board member of Global Surgery Germany (DTC).
