Roeland Voorhoeve (MD, PhD) has an almost lifelong involvement with Global Health. After graduating as a surgeon in 1988 he spent ten years working for the ICRC or MSF, alternating this with part time jobs in the Netherlands. In 2009 he retired from his work as a consultant surgeon in Amersfoort. Currently he’s still working as a surgeon in Nickerie in Suriname and occasionally for MSF.
