Dr. Parnian Parvanta is a Gynecologist, currently working in Mainz Germany in a practice for prenatal medicine. She completed her specialist training at the St. Marienhospital Birkesdorf, at the University Hospital Erlangen, and at the University Hospital Mainz, where she most recently worked as a senior physician.
Her first assignment for Médecins Sans Frontières Dr. Parvanta completed in 2011 in the Central African Republic. Two years later, she worked in India, in 2017/2018 for the first time as a trained gynecologist in Nigeria, in 2019 in Côte d’Ivoire. 2022 she worked twice as a trainer in Iraq.
She was first elected to the Board of the German section of Médecins Sans Frontières in May 2019 and was Vice President of the Board between June 2021 and June 2023. She has been President of the Board since June 2023.
